It's the age old question of "Should I...or shouldn't I..." The sign-up forms are officially out and many of us (well, you) are sitting out there tonight wondering how much you would be putting at risk by growing a mustache for 6 whole weeks. Sure, you'll look ridiculous. Your peers will laugh at you. Children will run from you. Photos will be taken and there will be long-lasting documentation of one of your humbler moments. At least it's scheduled for after the holidays so you don't have to send out a family Christmas photo with you looking like you have some leftover fuzz from your favorite light-up Rudolph sweater clinging to your upper lip.
And chances are...6 weeks won't get you this far...
Just look at the bright side...an amazing school that serves the needs of some incredible students will benefit from you putting your ego aside to have some fun with your friends. We can be investors in the education and well-being of students with significant developmental disabilities. We can enrich the Arts. We have the opportunity to make a difference. I know I'm in for sure.
