The Countdown Begins...

With only a couple of days to go before Clean Shaven Day and the start of our Mustaches for Hope fundraising event begins, here are some interesting tidbits:
1. We have 16 confirmed participants (but of course we will be begging for more this week).
2. Of these 16 participants, 2 are female and 5 of the males are clearly doing it against their better judgment (thanks fellas!)
3. Most of us have never grown a mustache before.
4. Those of us who live our lives hiding God-knows-what under the facial hair that we currently have and have had for years are starting to think twice about shaving it all off this Friday.
So what's it going to be...

One of the questions on the participant registration form was asking for a your favorite celebrity mustache. The results are in:
The winner is probably the most talked about and famous pop culture 'stache around...Tom Selleck.

Other choices included (in no particular order):
Freddie Mercury
Ned Flanders
Charlie Chaplin
A young Ernest Hemingway
Brad Pitt
Chuck Norris
Yosimite Sam
and who could leave out the baseball legend Rollie Fingers.

Some amazing celebrity mustaches that didn't make the cut included:
Dali (the Surrealist artist) (c'mon, Stache-Master is an Art teacher, I have to educate and entertain!)
Sam Elliott (primarily from his work in The Big Lebowski)
Hulk Hogan
Sonny Bono
and Ron Burgandy
